Coneflowers.  Watercolor & Crayon.
Approximately 12.5 x 10 inches

We have a couple of different varieties of coneflowers in our gardens.  Along our hedge row, we have native prairie coneflowers.  They're blooming right now, and I have a photo of the hedgerow up on instagram here:

I've painted these in past years.

We also have the more traditional pink-y purple coneflowers, which you can see here:

I really like these flowers.  We had a totally native stand in Oklahoma of pale purple conflowers (see HERE).  Hopefully, the people who came after us left the stand alone.

Anyhow, this is a limited palette piece, same as my last post, except on kilamanjaro 300 lb cold press paper and there's a tiny bit of crayon.  Can you see where it is.
